Overview

The OSP Engineer is responsible for designing and supporting the deployment of outside plant fiber networks, ensuring buildable, cost-effective solutions through collaboration with engineering, permitting, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced OSP Engineer to join our growing fiber engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and supporting the deployment of outside plant fiber networks. You’ll work closely with permitting teams, drafters, construction managers, and compliance specialists to ensure projects are buildable, cost-effective, and delivered on time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of OSP fiber design or engineering experience (FTTH or backbone preferred)

• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Google Earth, or specialized fiber planning software)

• Strong understanding of aerial and underground fiber construction practices

• Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to interpret utility records, construction prints, and civil plans
